Are you struggling to find your purpose? (2024)

Hello Friend, I pray your weekend was filled with joy. I have been dealing with my own set of challenges lately and the fate of my aspiring creative life is at the top of the list. I have been struggling with the questions below: how much of myself do I have to put out on social media for the algorithms fairy to look my way? is writing about religions and spirituality matter in this day and age?

As an overthinker, self doubt is my unwanted constant companion. I am trying to learn ways to be confident enough to continue writing and to trust God with His plans for me. These struggles are the reason I am sharing a great story of hope and trust in our abilities.

The story of Prophet Moses, or Musa in Arabic, is a towering figure in the Abrahamic faiths. His story filled with dramatic encounters, divine missions, and profound teachings, is well-known.Yet, beyond the grand narratives and miraculous events lies a deeply human figure whose experiences and lessons remain profoundly relevant. Let’s explore the human side of Moses and uncover some fun and educational insights that you can apply in your life today.

Moses’ journey began with reluctance. When God first called upon him to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, Moses hesitated. He doubted his speaking abilities, as he was known to stutter. He said to God “I am slow of speech and slow of tongue”. This self doubt is a reminder that even the greatest leaders experience insecurity. It teaches us that feeling unprepared or inadequate doesn’t disqualify us from making significant impacts. Embracing our vulnerabilities can led to growth and unexpected leadership.

The Power of Curiosity

One of the pivotal moments in Moses life was his encounter with the burning bush. This event didn’t happen because Moses was seeking a divine experience, nope, he was simply curious about a bush that burned without being consumed. Curiosity led him to transformative revelation. In our modern lives, nurturing a sense of curiosity can open doors to new opportunities and insights. It’s a call to remain inquisitive and open to the wonders around us.

Moses journey was fraught with challenges, from confronting Pharaoh to leading a rebellious people through the desert for 40 years. Despite these hardships, Moses demonstrated remarkable patience and perseverance. His story teaches us the value of patience and resilience in overcoming life’s obstacles. Today in a world that often demands instant results, Moses endurance is a powerful lesson in the virtue of steadfastness.

The Importance Of Delegation

Moses initially tried to solve all problems by himself, but it quickly became overwhelming, the Bible said that he was advised by his father in-law Jethro to trust leaders, in the Quran he asked his brother Haroun for help. This advice not only improved Moses effectiveness but also empowers others. In contemporary settings, effective delegation is key to successful leadership and teamwork. It shows that recognizing the strengths of others and sharing responsibilities can lead to collective success.

Throughout his life, Moses showed deep compassion for his people. Whether pleading with God to spare the Israelites after their transgressions or providing for their needs in the wilderness, Moses empathy was evident. His compassion teaches us the importance of empathy in leadership and daily interactions. Understanding and caring for others can create stronger, more supportive communities.

A Journey of Self Discovery

Moses life was a continuous journey of self discovery. From his time as a prince of Egypt to his exile in Midian, and finally as the leader of the Israelites, Moses remained humble. He is described as very humble more so than anyone else on the face of the earth. Humility, even in the face of great accomplishments, is a timeless lesson. In today’s competitive world, maintaining humility can foster genuine relationships and a balanced perspective on success.

The story of Moses is rich with lessons that transcend time and culture. His human side, with all its doubts, challenges, and growth, offers a relatable and inspiring narrative. By examining Moses life through a modern lens, we can glean valuable insights into leadership, curiosity, patience, delegation, compassion, self discovery and humility. These lessons not only honor the legacy of Moses but also provide practical wisdom for our own lives.
